Dear Beachcombers - sorry to photobomb your gallery this morning but I am just feeling so HAPPY today.

Seeing all your wonderful work building up and hearing your comments of enjoyment and learning have truly humbled me this last week and I am SO grateful to be your tutor providing you with what you seem to be enjoying very much.

So this is me as a first time beachcomber back in 1974 on the town beach in Saundersfoot, Wales with what looks like a big pebble I found on the sand. But - on closer inspection you can just make out that it is a fossilised wonder - it has an ammonite imprinted on it!

This treasure - coupled with a thrilling find of a soaking wet flapping fiver on the sand - just 1 hour after this shot was taken - turned me into an AVID beachcomber from then on! £5 was a lot to a tot in the 70's!!
